On this page, you will find weather forecasts for the southern Appalachians and surrounding areas that will help you to plan out your hikes. Even though I am an experienced weather forecaster, please do not use this information instead of information relayed by the National Weather Service, but instead, use it as a tool in addition to forecasts from other outlets.

7/31 Weather Update

The weekend and early next week will be mostly dry area-wide. Temperatures will continue to stay hot, in the 90s in lower elevations and in the 80s in higher elevations.
